One week had passed since i first started work.. where i knew nothing to now where i know something.. just have to pass through 23 more weeks and i will be on my freedom road until bind down by NS.. Anyway.. good luck and have fun to those that are going for their Day 1 Orientation at their ITP tomorrow.. share some of your experiences with me if you may and we may exchange secrets that are not meant for the public ears.. I have quite a few up my sleeves already..

7 days have passed.. there are good stuffs about the job.. and bad stuffs about the job too.. i guess it depends on the perception on how you see things.. whether its half full or half empty.. Things been going pretty smoothly for this few days but it is still within my TRAINING period.. so things may just turn around and get extremely rough the moment im ON MY OWN..

Quotas (-1)
something that no one like unless you are really good at it.. Everyday each of us have a number of rooms that we must finished.. otherwise we would not be able to go home.. If we are good.. we finish early.. we rest the remaining period of time.. and enjoy life pretty much.. if you aint as good.. you take more time so you have to rush through your lunch.. stay back after your supposingly working hours.. and probably still get a mini lecture from the one aboves.. Well.. i am still not confident in the amount of rooms i can do at the moment but i hope i can reach the quotas that they placed for me.. =/

Working Alone (-1)
Independent is good.. every housekeeper have their individual level to clean up so interactions is quite minimum except during meals time.. So you do not really work together although you work together if you understand.. Not really for my type of character as i am more of the talk-and-make-friends-type so having no one but laundary and amenities to talk to is quite depressing for me.. However my seniors seems to be doing a great job keeping up with one another during break so i believe i will be able to do it eventually..

Meeting VIPs (+1)
Every hotel is bond to have VIPs once a while so there is a higher chance of meeting them if you were luckily assigned to the level that they stay at.. Although autographs or even conversations are prohibited.. a glance at them is already quite a story.. let alone cleaning the room up for them or even striking a conversation..

Attention to Details (+1)
When we stay in hotels.. we probably pay attention to the cleaniness and amenities provided in the room.. but it is usually the small details that really make a difference between a 4 and 5 star standard.. So when i started working.. i realised the huge effort made by them (and me) to really go into every details of the room.. including the position and direction the amenities face (of course with their reasons for doing so..) I guess this will make me appreciate the hotel i stay in next time.. but it may also discourage me from visiting the hotel if i realised certain details were not met.. LOL..

Oh well.. good and bads.. but that is more or less my job.. For now i still have a buddy to point out the mistakes that i done.. correct any errors i done.. and double check to make sure i done everything correctly.. as well as helping out so it speed up the process.. I cant imagine what will it be the moment i am left all alone to myself and my cart.. Oh no..
