31st Jan - Tarts for my Qiann

One thing i know about my Qiann.. is that she like her pineapple tart without pineapple jam.. or rather any jam at all.. So it became my goal to get a pineapple-jam-less tart for her for this CNY.. Found a recipe online (like always) and decided to just try it..

Mixing the dough well and nice.. I made quite a lot of mistake during this first trial.. Was suppose to mix flour and sugar first before putting the butter in.. but i totally forgot about the sugar until the butter is already semi melted in the flour.. Nevertheless it went pretty alright here and there.. Aint those yolks beautiful?

Afterwards the dough need to be chill in the fridge for about 1hr so we went to catch some nap while waiting for the dough to cool down.. afterwards while she continue her nap.. i was already busy rolling the dough and sorta making quite a mess everywhere.. FLOUR FIGHT!

Then you cut the dough out using the mould which we borrowed from our neighbour because we have no idea where is ours in the first place.. None of the tarts were the same as the other.. Some big some small some fat some thin some crack some nice some ugly some slanted.. But still they taste great..

Put a bit of glaze on top.. into the oven.. and out come fresh hot lovely tasty pineapple-jam-less tarts specially prepared for Qiann.. And also to mention.. that she did woke up halfway to help out and tried every step herself too.. Thanks thanks.. and this is our rewards!! mmMMMm.. back to enjoying them!~
